Even thought I’ve been working in my studio all day, I have been keeping tabs with the goings on in Wisconsin.  It’s exhilarating to watch any sort of peoples’ protest, and it’s crazy that this is my old union.  My old state!  The best thing that happened so far today was word that the state troopers refused to search for the State Democrats in order to bring them to the Senate floor as instructed by Republican senators.  And also that Madison police were handing out free hotdogs to the protesters.  Civil disobedience done with civility.   The Dems, doing their part to protest, fled the capitol and are currently staked out in Illinois.  The FIB’s are now our BFF’s!
